Over the years we’ve grown accustomed to seeing the revolving door that is the Davidson County Jail. Even thought a lot of people come and go, some people we’ve found have a trend of just never going at all – despite having over twenty five charges against them over quite a span of time. These people are generally doing something to curry favor with the court system, or the prosecutors, or even the detectives and investigators of the MNPD. Once person with such a record of charge after charge that is dismissed, reduced, or just plain made to disappear is East Nashville Roofer Troy Anderson. FB Profile 1. FB Profile 2. FB Profile 3(Contractor Profile).
Troy works for Pinnacle Roofing/Pinnacle Roofs Plus as a roofer – and he has MANY photos of him driving the roofing SUVs and his personal vehicles on social media – which makes us wonder how he’s driving this truck to work every day, and out to all of the East Nashville Bars (two of which he’s been kicked out of – one just this past week, and one in the charges below), if his drivers license is obviously suspended from all of the charges? (There are reports that the suspension is because of unpaid child support – which begs the question of why he’s out at the bars to begin with, but we’ll save that for a follow up story – thanks to his ex who is currently holding his ‘illegal'(?) drivers license hostage right now, but there is a LOT more to that story than this post requires, so stay tuned for her follow-up story.)
Here’s an excerpt from his most recently reduced charged – THIS was reduced to ‘reckless driving’:
“On 02/05/15 at approximately 0204 hours I observed a GMC Suburban traveling at a high rate of speed on Andrew Jackson Parkway. I captured the vehicle at 70 MPH on radar in a posted 40 MPH zone. While catching up to the vehicle in ran a flashing red light. Upon the vehicle pulling over it drove on to the sidewalk. Upon making contact with the defendant I observed that his speech was slurred at times and he had an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. His eyes were watery and he admitted to consuming alcohol. I administered SFST’s and he displayed validated indicators of impairment.”
“On 02/05/15 the defendant was taken into custody for DUI. I read the defendant the implied consent form and he refused the requested breath test.“
We don’t know why he has so many charges that “don’t stick” but we have to wonder if Troy Anderson is just plain lucky, if he is helping out the courts in return for these favors, if he has friends in high places, or perhaps he just happens to have some of the best legal defense strategies that kept getting his charges dismissed – time after time, after time, after time.
Here’s a general overview of the charges filed against Troy Anderson – just in Davidson County.
Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License:
15 Separate Charges:
13 DISMISSED, 2 REDUCED TO LESSER CHARGE.
Possession / Casual Exchange of DRUGS:
Unlawful Use of DRUG Paraphernalia:
DISMISSED AT THE REQUEST OF THE PROSECUTOR/STATE
DUI – Implied Consent (Civil):
DISMISSED AT THE REQUEST OF THE PROSECUTOR/STATE
In fact, of all of the 25 (TWENTY-FIVE) times that Troy Anderson has been arrested or charged, the ONLY things he has been found guilty of are speeding, a seat belt violation, a DUI that was plead down to ‘reckless driving’, and twice for a suspended license that was plead down to ‘no license’. So Troy – what’s your secret?
Here’s another that was TOTALLY DISMISSED:
“The defendant was being disorderly in the area of Forrest Avenue and North 11th Street. The defendant was asked to leave a business at that location several times, and then was removed by security. The defendant tried to reenter that location several times and each time was asked by security to leave. The defendant then started becoming aggressive to security and pedestrians walking nearby. Officers responded to the scene and got the defendant a taxi cab to give him a ride to his residence. The defendant told officers that he would be going to his residence and not returning to that location. Approximately 5 minutes later the taxi cab driver approached officers and told them that the defendant got out of the cab one block down the road and then walked back to the location. The defendant was again trying to reenter the business establishment and being aggressive towards people in his vicinity. The defendant showed several signs of intoxication. His speech was slow and slurred. An odor of alcohol could be smelled emitting from his breath as he spoke and on his persons. His eyes were very bloodshot and watery, and he admitted to consuming a large amount of alcohol.“

We’re not sure why all of the others have been removed, but we’re assuming the request to dismiss nearly all charges plays a role in their availability.
If you were reading this and thinking that Troy Anderson looks familiar, you’d be right – we’ve covered him before:
So, Troy, just how did you get all those charges dropped and/or reduced? It’s ok if you can’t say, we understand. It’ll be our little secret.
So it turns out that not only has he been dodging charges over a ‘suspended license’ for years and years, it appears he left the one ID that says he can drive (likely an old one?) with a girl that he broke up with, and now she’s holding it hostage – for what who knows! But there’s some great one-liners and other info if you read carefully. Enjoy! did you catch the part about him owing 15K in Child Support yet there’s pics of him nightly @ the bars? And of him driving still? We have a feeling that MNPD won’t take this lightly, nor will the child support division?
(and by ‘cracked’ you been suspended?)
Mike Mcp – oh we have TONS on you, don’t get us started!
$15,000 in Child Support? WOW – And you’re still going out drinking with the East Nashville Crew several times a week?
