ARRESTS: 2 Felons w/3 Guns & Drugs in Stolen Vehicle: Keith Addy & Demarcus Davis

On Friday, Keith Drarell Addy(26) and Demarcus L Davis(29) were arrested for multiple charges, including being felons in possession of guns, as 3 handguns were recovered from the vehicle they were in, along with charges for the stolen car they were in, and 75 grams of marijuana.

RECOVERED:

  • 75.8 grams marijuana
  • .45 cal Springfield Arms, loaded w/round chambered
  • 9mm Masterpiece Arms, loaded w/round chambered
  • .38 special, 2 rounds in the cylinder
  • Vehicle: gray Hyundai Sonata  (stolen)

OFFICERS WERE CONDUCTING PATROL IN THE TRINITY HILLS APARTMENTS LOCATED AT 400 E NOCTURNE DR DUE TO COMPLAINTS BY RESIDENTS OF HEAVY DRUG ACTIVITY AND PEOPLE POSSESSING FIREARMS AROUND THE C BUILDING. OFFICERS MORGAN AND ANDERSON APPROACHED THE C BUILDING ON FOOT, AND NOTICED A GRAY HYUNDAI SONATA OCCUPIED BY TWO MALES ONE IN THE BACK RIGHT PASSENGER SEAT AND THE OTHER IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS BACKED INTO A PARKING SPOT IN FRONT OF THE C BUILDING. OFFICER MORGAN APPROACHED THE VEHICLE, AND NOTICED THE ODOR OF MARIJUANA COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. AS OFFICER MORGAN BEGAN SPEAKING WITH THE BACK SEAT PASSENGER, HE NOTICED A REVOLVER ON THE FLOORBOARD OF THE VEHICLE AT THE PASSENGER’S FEET. MORGAN AND ANDERSON DETAINED THE OCCUPANTS. DEMARCUS DAVIS (DEFENDANT) WAS THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER. OFFICERS CONDUCTED A PROBABLE CAUSE SEARCH OF THE VEHICLE BASED ON THE SMELL OF MARIJUANA. OFFICERS LOCATED A PLASTIC ZIPLOC BAGGIE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER FLOORBOARD, AND THAT BAGGIE CONTAINED WHAT SMELLED LIKE AND APPEARED TO BE MARIJUANA. BESIDE THE BAGGIE OF MARIJUANA, AND JUST UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT, OFFICERS LOCATED A LOADED SPRINGFIELD ARMS .45 CAL HANDGUN THAT WAS LOADED WITH A ROUND CHAMBERED. UNDER THE DRIVER’S SEAT, OFFICERS ALSO LOCATED A MASTERPIECE ARMS 9MM HANDGUN THAT WAS LOADED WITH A ROUND CHAMBERED. THE REVOLVER THAT OFFICER MORGAN ORIGINALLY WAS FOUND TO BE A .38 SPECIAL WITH TWO ROUNDS IN THE CYLINDER. THE DEFENDANT WAS FOUND TO BE A CONVICTED FELON DUE TO PREVIOUS DRUG CONVICTIONS. A CHECK OF THE VIN OF THE VEHICLE LED TO THE DISCOVERY THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STOLEN. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAD A TEMP TAG MOUNTED ON THE REAR THAT OFFICERS FOUND HAD BEEN ALTERED. THE MONTH OF THE TAG HAD BEEN COVERED WITH WHITE OUT, AND A 09 HAD BEEN WRITTEN OVER IT.

Both defendants will have bond review hearings on Tuesday.
