Jessie James Upchurch Sentenced Today for Boscobel Air Compressor Theft | Being Released Today

Jessie James Upchurch, 61, (and frequently seen with Fast Fredie) appeared in General Sessions court today to answer to a burglary charge from a July 17th incident on the 800 block of Boscobel, where he was caught stealing an air compressor, both in video and still photos while the crime was in progress. He was arrested later that evening, and has remained in jail on a $10,000 bond since. Upchurch appeared in front of Judge Mondelli on Wednesday morning, where he accepted a plea deal. The original charge was a class D Felony of burglary, the plea he accepted was a Misdemeanor charge of Theft under $500. The accompanying public intoxication charge was dismissed. Upchurch was sentenced to 60 days in jail, for which he already has 50.5 days of jail credit to be applied. With the way time and credit calculations work in Davidson County, he will be released later today as time served.  Upchurch’s list of criminal history charges is 33 pages long (included below).
